Personalities

Jerry Brownlow was born in Lamesa, and has lived in west Texas his entire life. He speaks often about being raised on a farm in Cochran County with his Mom, Dad, & brother Randy.

A prolific songwriter, singer and musician, Jerry has been a member of the Maines Brothers Band since 1977, which garnered him a place on the West Texas Walk of fame.

Jerry started his broadcasting career in 1970, when he received a call from William J. "Hi Pockets" Duncan who managed the radio station KRAN.   Hi Pockets showed Jerry a few buttons & switches and said I'm going to lunch have fun on the air! Jerry wishes he had a recording of his first on air experience whenever he needs a good laugh!

Other than on air personality Jerry specializes in creative writing, production and voice talent. His commercial work includes character voices for numerous advertising agencies.

Hey, y'all!  I'm Donna, your company on the air from 6-midnight weeknights. It's a joy sharing great country music with you each evening.
I grew up in small west Texas communities, mostly Post and Spur.  Though I received a degree in elementary education, I come from a long line of impressive radio roots, so I'm proud to help carry on the tradition. Our listeners and supporters are the best around.
Thanks for making KSSL your home for the best country music ever recorded!  Listen in and tell all your friends.

Hi everyone!  My name is Frisky
I spend my days roaming from office to office making sure that everyone is busy.  When I am satisfied with the work I love to curl up in a chair, on a desk...or anywhere there is an empty space and lounge and nap.  After all, it's hard work making sure things get done.
In the summertime I enjoy lounging on the front porch and soaking in the sunshine.  Don't be surprised if you come to visit that I don't come and rub against your leg.
I encourage everyone to adopt one of my friends from your local animal shelter and remember to spay or neuter your pet.
